Disco Raja movie review: A flimsy film with some good performances.

Disco Raja could've been better in many, many ways. The story started out confusingly. There was a chance that the movie could have turned out better, but that didn't happen.

Some parts were unnecessarily dragged on, just to emphasize his stature or power, and some parts were cut too short. The roles of both of the heroines (Payal and Nabha) were both too short- almost as if they each had a cameo/guest appearance in the movie.

Many people online thought that the surprise at the end (SPOILER ALERT!) where Sunil was shown to be the true bad guy was a great twist, but it dragged on the story unnecessarily, and made Sunil's character seem more useless than it already was.

All of this could have been better if the direction was better. (This is only based off of my knowledge, so its probably not as accurate as it could be.)

There were some good things in the movie, however. The sets were designed perfectly. The color scheme of the "flashback" time was very good, and the aesthetic-ness of certain scenes simply made them better.

The music was also a highlight of the movie. S. Thaman composed the music for this movie. He managed to deliver a superb album, all while working on AVPL and other projects at the same time. Multi-tasking is definitely a hard thing when it comes to composing music. Thaman managed to do it, and the end result was fantastic.

The music, in my opinion, was probably the best part about the movie.

You won't miss much if you don't watch the movie.
