I bet that this is probably Harish Kalyan's best movie.
This movie doesn't seem Bollywood, even though it's a remake of Vicky Donor. Not that that's a bad thing, but yeah. It's clear, and it didn't let itself be boring. There were no scenes were the hero gave a long speech about why he's right. He didn't even know if he was right about being a sperm donor until the very end. Unsureness at the peaks.
It's not just sperm donation that this movie talked about. It talked about surrogacy, adoption, divorce, and how society views these "issues" without actually talking about them.
I literally thought that there would be random dirty jokes and stuff in this movie, but I had no other movies to watch so I watched it, and it was so clean. Like Clorox clean.
Then there was the love between Nidhi and Prabhu. Nidhi, a divorcee, was quite guarded, and didn't seem very open to the idea of falling in love again because of how society treats divorcees. She didn't want to get hurt again. Prabhu shows up, and pretty much at first sight, falls in love with Nidhi without knowing she's a divorcee. Then, Nidhi invites him to come to a friend's wedding reception, and Prabhu thinks of it as a date. Afterwards, Nidhi lets him know that it wasn't a date, and that Prabhu shouldn't think of it as a date. But he still kinda does cuz that's just him.
Later, when Prabhu keeps trying to make her accept that she loves him, she reveals that she's a divorcee. Prabhu doesn't exactly care. He only thought about whether he should tell her about him being a sperm donor. Naturally, he didn't because there was still an hour or so left of the movie, and the story had to go on.
I don't know if anyone else thought this, but once the wedding was over, I thought the movie itself was over because usually when the romance gets to the wedding, the movie ends because the director doesn't want to go through the hardship of showing what comes after marriage (I think). But, this movie wasn't over, and the real problem started after the wedding. It was like the second plot just started.
(I didn't see Vicky Donor, so I didn't exactly know what was gonna happen.)
